Creation of a fully accessible, contemporary rural garden in the heart of the Cotswold's for the fantastically derserving Ben Wernham & family....

This one was a bit special!

Our 2nd DIY SOS experience was in the beautiful village of Avening in the heart of the Cotswolds...

This project in the Spring/Summer of 2017 was all about reuniting Ben with his family after he was left paralysed from the neck down in a swimming pool accident while on family holiday in Cyprus in 2016.

GreenBird jumped at the opportunity to volunteer again for this worthy cause and donated our time by designing this stunning garden on a very challenging site while conducting several last minute planting runs! before a team of fantastic volunteers from accross the South of the country built the outdoor space..

We worked with the BBC off-screen & on-screen design team again to ensure our concept fitted with the fantastic internal design of the house and the end result....a stunning, contemporary garden, fully accesible for Ben & his families needs.

It was about creating a space that Ben could spend time with his children without worrying about the limitations of his life changing injuries and for the wider family to enjoy social time together.

Ben, Ella & the wider family were thrilled with the end result - it was well worth the effort & we are proud to have designed such a life changing space.
